Google Ads

Connect a Google Ads account, review forecast campaigns built from your visibility data, and publish them paused for your own final check.

Overview#

Seerly knows which topics you are absent from and which terms your category actually searches for. Google Ads uses that to build campaign drafts, so paid coverage can be pointed at the same gaps as your organic work rather than being planned separately.

The obvious use is buying coverage for a gap while the content work catches up. Organic citations take several cycles to move; paid does not.

Connecting#

Connect Google Ads starts the connection and Choose an Ads Account picks which account to use if you manage more than one.

Disconnect and Reconnect manage it afterwards. Reconnecting is occasionally necessary because access tokens expire, and an expired connection fails quietly rather than loudly.

Reviewing a campaign#

Each draft campaign shows Campaign, Daily Budget and Status, with a Forecast of expected Impressions and Clicks.

Verdict is Seerly's own read on whether the campaign is worth running, which is the fastest way to triage a list of drafts.

Edited marks anything you have changed, and Revert returns it to the generated version. Remove deletes a draft.

Treat the forecast as a planning estimate rather than a promise. It is a projection built from search data, and the screen notes that publishing uses the current estimate, so a draft left sitting for weeks should be re-checked before it goes out.

Illustrative. The forecast is a projection from search data, and publishing uses whatever the estimate says at that moment.

Publishing#

Campaigns publish as Published (paused), and this is the single most important thing to understand about the screen. Nothing starts spending because you clicked publish in Seerly. The campaign arrives in your Google Ads account paused, and you start it there yourself after your own review. Resume and the pause controls manage its state from that point on.

After publishing

Status
Published (paused)
Resume

The state every campaign lands in, and the one control that changes it. Nothing spends until you do this yourself.

That two-step design is deliberate rather than a missing feature. Seerly can see which gaps are worth covering and has no view at all of your overall budget, your other campaigns, or the commercial context that decides whether this particular week is the right one. Those judgements stay where they belong, which is with you.

Best practices#

  • Campaigns aimed at real gaps, taken from Gap analysis rather than assembled from a keyword list.
  • Budget reviewed before resuming rather than after, since after is expensive.
  • Forecasts treated as estimates and nothing firmer.
  • Paid and organic pointed at the same topics, so that the two compound rather than running as separate programmes that happen to share a company.

Next steps#

  1. Connect the right account. It is easy to pick the wrong one when you manage several, and awkward to notice afterwards.
  2. Start from Verdict to sort out which drafts are worth reading properly.
  3. Check the daily budget on every campaign before publishing. This is real money and the defaults will not know your situation.
  4. Publish, then review in Google Ads and resume there. Nothing spends until you do.
  5. Re-check the forecast on any draft that has been sitting for a while.
  6. Log what you launched in Tracked actions, so later movement can be attributed rather than guessed at.

Limitations#

Seerly drafts campaigns and publishes them paused. It does not manage bids, optimise campaigns over time, or spend anything on your behalf, and ongoing management happens in Google Ads itself.

Forecasts are projections built from search data. They are not commitments, and actual performance depends on competition, quality and whatever the market is doing that week.

Connecting Google Ads also improves the search volume figures used elsewhere in Seerly. See Integrations.
