## Overview

Getting started with Seerly requires no technical setup, no code installation, and no changes to your website. Seerly analyses your brand's presence across AI answer surfaces entirely externally — it works by querying AI systems with brand-relevant prompts and analysing the responses they generate.

## Step-by-Step Setup

1. **Sign up** at https://seerly.app/signup — create an account using Google OAuth or email-based registration.

2. **Enter your domain** — provide your brand's primary website domain and select the country you want to target. Seerly uses this information to generate relevant prompts and tailor its analysis to your market context.

3. **Initial analysis runs automatically** — once your domain is submitted, Seerly begins its first comprehensive analysis. This takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes and involves sending brand-relevant queries to multiple AI engines, capturing and parsing the responses, running sentiment analysis, identifying citations, performing competitive analysis, and generating recommendations. Progress is displayed in real-time so you can watch as each stage completes.

4. **Review your dashboard** — after the initial analysis completes, your dashboard populates with visibility scores showing how often your brand appears in AI responses, sentiment breakdowns showing how AI engines describe your brand, citation data showing which of your content AI engines reference, and competitive intelligence showing how you compare to competitors.

5. **Take action** — use Seerly's content creation tools to generate AI-optimised blog posts and social content, run a Smart Audit to identify technical improvements to your website's AI discoverability, and implement the specific recommendations Seerly provides based on your analysis results.

6. **Track progress over time** — as Seerly continues to run periodic analyses, your dashboard updates with trend data so you can see how your AI search visibility evolves, measure the impact of actions you've taken, and identify new opportunities or emerging risks.

## AI Engines Tracked

Seerly monitors how your brand appears across the major AI answer surfaces that consumers use to discover, research, and evaluate brands:

- **ChatGPT** (by OpenAI) — the most widely used AI assistant. Seerly tracks how ChatGPT mentions, describes, and recommends your brand when users ask relevant questions. Available on Pro and Enterprise plans.

- **Perplexity AI** — an AI-powered search engine that provides cited, sourced answers. Seerly tracks your brand's presence in Perplexity's responses and identifies which sources it cites. Available on Pro and Enterprise plans.

- **Google AI Overview** — Google's AI-generated summaries that appear at the top of search results. Seerly tracks whether your brand appears in these AI Overviews and in what context. Currently in early access, available across all plans.

- **Claude** (by Anthropic) — a conversational AI assistant. Seerly tracks how Claude describes and references your brand. Available on Enterprise plan.

## What Happens During Analysis

When Seerly analyses your brand, it performs several operations across each tracked AI engine:

1. **Prompt generation** — Seerly generates a set of brand-relevant prompts based on your domain, industry, and target market. These are the kinds of questions real users would ask AI engines when looking for products or services like yours.

2. **Response capture** — each prompt is sent to the tracked AI engines and the full responses are captured for analysis.

3. **Visibility scoring** — Seerly determines whether your brand was mentioned in each response and calculates a visibility percentage across all queries.

4. **Position analysis** — when your brand is mentioned, Seerly records where in the response it appears — first mention, a brief mention among competitors, or a detailed recommendation.
